And we are up...

Looks like my submission got approved by DriveThruRPG today. According to the site I've had about six downloads so far. No payments, but if I got any it would be an unexpected bonus.

You can find the site in all of its Web 1.0 glory here:

Breaking into the Big Leagues

Remember how I said my next project wouldn't be DriveThruRPG's game jam? Well it isn't.

Remember how I also said my next project could be anything on a hard drive full of unfinished projects? Well it also isn't.

It's Warning Order #1 again. I just pushed it to DriveThruRPG, which is kind of like the New York Times of downloadable RPG products.

I'll be posting the link once I get approval, but in the meantime, my next project is sort of set. There was an old Harry Turtledove story called "The Road Not Taken" which had hostile aliens invade modern-day New York with... flintlock rifles. It turns out that interstellar travel and gravity control is pretty simple and most species discover it pretty early on and either stagnate Spanish Empire-style on interstellar conquest or get enslaved by a mildly more advanced power. Humanity went down a different path which makes us the Vorlons of the setting. Or Voltrons if you prefer. Either way, obscenely powerful due to a quirk of technological progress

And I've got a hard drive full (well 0.1% percent full, modern hard drives are pretty big) with obsolete and never-used technology. Stuff like 1950s-era vacuum tube cyberdecks wielded by atompunks, powered armor suits inspired by Italian supercars from the 1960s, and a century of undersea settlements where decades are preserved like moments caught in amber.

Still working on the series title, and which one to polish up first.
